Horizon CalPro, food-grade Calsium Propionate (E-282) known as one of the most secure food additive worldwide, extends shelf life and acts as a preservative by preventing the growth of bacteria and mold. It also has an acidity regulator effect.
Calcium propionate is an organic salt that occurs naturally as a result of the reaction between calcium hydroxide and propionic acid. Unlike other additives, it doesn't accumulate in your body, broken down and excreted by the digestive system. These properties are the reasons of preference for many kinds of food sectors.
